'State of Gold' DIOR Christmas 2015 Makeup Collection

It’s a state of mind, an attitude. This winter, the Dior woman is gold. She emanates radiant light, the light of her beauty, of her magnetic aura. This light is celebrated by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, in his precious Christmas 2015 collection, a gold-themed variation that takes a new approach to luxury: hushed, nuanced and secret. Like a manifesto… A State of Gold!

Celebrating in Dior what is most precious in every woman, Peter Philips has created an enchanting collection, a gleaming variation gilded in gold. From a festive atmosphere and in this new spirit of luxury by Dior comes a glistening, luminous universe that is both glamorous and couture, where shades and shimmer collide. Gold is joined with grey, platinum with carmine, and fresh pink enlivens silvery lime… As always at Dior, colours are celebrated and dance on scintillating palettes to enhance lustrous beauty.

'Tie Dye' Summer Look by DIOR Beauty

The House of DIOR interprets the Tie Dye spirit for summer from hypnotic jade to sand beige and golden amber, colours change stretch and transform as if saturated by light. Pitched for those sun-filled days, the Tie Dye summer look by the DIOR beauty team is a subtle mélange of colors.

For its summer 2015 look, Dior beauty turns its attention to the tie-dye technique. Colors meld, meet, collide and spread out. Drenched in light, they appear unexpected, unique, and in full bloom. On the lips, Dior Addict Tie Dye lipstick reveals combinations of coral, pink, mauve, and red. The complexion is given a sunny brightness thanks to the four graded and vibrant tones of Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye. Eyes dazzle with the lagoon blue, intense jade, sable beige, and delicate amber of the 5 Couleurs palette. On the nails, the grenadine line of the Top Coat Tie Dye provides the finishing touch to this effect of radiant beauty.

A lipstick infused with a second color in its CD-stamped heart. Dior Addict Tie Dye unveils its duos of nuances and textures to tint lips with uniquely graded color: a smoky pink heightened with fuchsia, a coral sealed with red, a brown contrasted with beige, a violet with orange-y warmth, vermillion softened with mauve, and pink set off with pale pink. Diorskin Nude Tan is revisited in a uniquely light and vaporous Tie Dye colorama in which fresh hues sit alongside the softest, subtlest shades. It comes in two harmonies to structure and show off pale or bronzed skin to best effect. This summer, the new translucent red Top Coat Tie Dye creates a graded effect on the nails, whether it's layered or applied alone for a customized manicure.

'Tie Dyes' is an explosion of color, and now it's your turn

The New DIORSHOW Mascara

The Spectacular Catwalk Eyelook
Born of DIOR backstage expertise, Diorshow mascaras transpose make-up artists' techniques into innovative tools within every one's reach. In 2015, DIORSHOW - the volume expert - is coming back with a brand new formula and a new wiper, under the aegis of Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Christian Dior Make-Up redefining eyes with a blend of ultra-femininity and absolutely modenity. Follow the highlighted links to get redirected to these wonderful DIORSHOW Make-Up line.

Diorshow Mascara is adopting a new formula that optically reproduces the effect of false lashes added by backstage make-up artists and a brand new "Air-LockTM" anti-drying wiper. Its new-generation formula enriched in microfibres slips between lashes to create a denser yet natural lash look without clumping. The volume and intensity of the eyes increase with each sweep of the brush.

DIORSHOW Pro Liner Waterproof and Bow Styler Gel

The bevelled liner creates a spectacular line and the brow perfector
The one-of-a-kind new Dior Pro Liner eye pen combines the ease of application of a pencil with the glide and intensity of a liquid liner. Its retractable bevelled pencil perfectly hugs the lashline and creates an intense, buildable line at a stroke. Used horizontally, the bevelled tip outlines a precise line that hugs the lashes; used vertically, it creates a thicker line.

5 Couleurs Designer allows you to obtain a professional blended effect in five incredibly simple steps. A monochrome palette of shades applied in sheer layers over the eyelid to create unprecedented depth and contours.

The "COLOUR-LOCK" BASE smoothes, evens and primes for enhanced colour hold.

Colour Infusion: Rouge Dior Brillant

Peter Philips, the Creative and Image director of Dior make-up, has created a range of equally elegant and timeless shades for spring 2015. Among Rouge Dior Brillant's twelve shades, created in accord with the lipstick Rouge Dior. There are four star shades inspired by the House's Couture icons: "999" echoes the numbers of the first lipsticks "9" and "99" created by Christian Dior and takes the form of an iconic and legendary crimson red. "775 Darling", an elegant fuchsia, bears the name of an evening gown of the same hue and reveals the ultra-femininity embodied by the couturier's famous "Chéries". "468 Bonheur", a delicate and joyful pink, corresponds to Christian Dior's wish to make women happier, while "808 Victoire" pays homage to the insolent elegance of Monsieur Dior's favourite muse and model, in a fresh and luminous coral.

Colors are wonderful and serve to enhance you, and so they must be chosen with care”, advised Christian Dior in his Little Dictionary of Fashion. And thus the twelve shades of Rouge Dior Brillant form a thrilling bouquet, one put together by Peter Philips. The shades represent the perfect balance between brilliance and intensity: like the House’s iconic red 999, the fuchsia of Darling created in homage to the models, Christian Dior’s “Chéries”, the light pink of Bonheur, or the soft coral of Victoire, inspired by the couturier’s muse.

Rouge Dior Brillant is a gesture, a simple sweep of color employed by a woman to highlight her beauty. As actions go this is a precision one, aided by a special pen-like applicator with a rounded tip and a reservoir unique in its field which delivers the exact dose of product, without overloading. At the heart of the smooth and finely textured formula is an exclusive combination of three oils to soothe the lips, as well as a complex pairing anti-oxidant vitamin E with a plumping active ingredient to dynamize collagen production. This fusion balm-gloss marks a new era in beauty: the coming together of dazzling color and gentle skincare.

The range corresponds with the new Rouge Dior lipstick shades to create pairings of intense, deep, and timeless color, and lasting hold. There’s a nuance to match every personality, every expression of femininity.

The new Rouge Dior Brillant dresses Natalie Portman’s smile with couture elegance – simply brillant:

Cosmopolite Palettes by DIOR Beauty Fall/Winter 2015/16

Lowdown on the beauty look designed by Peter Philips, the Creative and Image Director of DIOR makeup, for the ready-to-wear fall/Winter 2015/16 fashionshow.

For this upcoming fall season, the Dior woman is animalistic and assured, and her makeup is a reflection of this, with a sustained, intense gaze. In plum, khaki and purple from the 5 Couleurs Cosmopolite Exubérante palette, and in bronze and blue from the 5 Couleurs Cosmopolite  Eclectic palette, both groups come from the first collection created by Peter Philips bowing for autumn 2015. The shadow is cleanly laid down as solid color and defined with a pre-moistened sponge applicator. Eyeshadows in autumnal tones are accentuated by a sweep of eyeliner drawn along the edge of the lid by the beveled nib of a black Diorshow Pro Liner pen, and lashes are sheathed in Diorshow Maximizer, then densified by using black Diorshow Pro mascara.

In contrast to the intensity lent the eyes, the rest of the face has a natural look. Unified by a fluid foundation, any imperfections located around the eye area are blurred by a few finger taps with the Fix it 2-in-1 Prime & Concealer , and as an ultimate burst of light, Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite illuminator is dabbed on the cheekbones. Similarly, the lips, simply dabbed with the Fix it 2-in-1 Prime & Concealer stick, display a discreetly gentle color.

A symbol of this instinctive and liberated approach to beauty, each hand boasts nails of different shades, creating unique and eclectic combinations: the black of Black Out, the metallic blue of Darling Blue, or the grayed green of Metropolis and Cosmopolite  purplish red, all four from the Cosmopolite collection, along with the intense bordeaux of the legendary Nuit 1947. This set of tones echoes the asymmetry of the outfits designed by Raf Simons and the hair pulled into a long ponytail over one shoulder.

Deep down in this collection was Simons’s ongoing exploration of female sexuality, to which his choice of time frame was important, given it went through some radical and far-reaching changes from the fifties to the seventies. But maybe going further and further into this collection doesn’t really matter here, not when what was evident to the naked eye was quite so fantastic.

Kingdom Of Colours by DIOR Spring 2015 Makeup Collection

Dior unveils the Kingdom of Colors Spring Makeup Collection 2015 (ltd. Edition). Discover the inspiration adorned by Monsieur Dior personal coat of arms, the 2015 Spring Makeup Collection reveals a blossoming color scheme.

In his 'Kingdom Of Colours' beauty look for Dior, Peter Philips, the House's creative and image director of makeup, celebrates color with freshness and intensity. Discover the inspiration behind this springtime makeup rich in contrasts.

Resplendent with luscious, peachy or powdery pink, cherry red, sea green and violet aubergine, the color palette as revisited by Peter Philips glows with gaiety, radiating  joie de vivre. It’s one of nature blossoming like springtime, like the brightly colored flowers so beloved of Christian Dior. In the garden where he spent his youth, at Granville in Normandy, he was captivated by the bright and vibrant shades that burst into bloom before his eyes. Rose petals contrasted with the fresh green of luxuriant herbs, with huge swathes of flowers making up artistically colored canvasses. When he became a couturier, this passion for color informed all his creations. His striking dresses were a revelation for  women the world over. After years of dullness and darkness, Dior’s embrace of color marked a cheerful renaissance, the veritable arrival of spring. Peter Philips, the House’s creative and image director for makeup, pays homage to this colorful heritage. This spring, the Kingdom of Colors  look celebrates a technicolor world – one of nature, one of Dior. A graphic and contemporary palace of pigments, in which all combinations are permitted in order to light up the face.

The colors palette for face, eyes and lips is filled with 10 custom colors and four professional applicators tucked inside a graphic palette embossed with the personal crest of Christian Dior. The palette features a mattifying skin-perfecting powder; a pearly highlighter and coral blush to enhance the complexion; and a deep purple enhanced with a silver shadow; an illuminating touch of aqua green shadow; and a black eyeliner to define the eyes. An iridescent coral gloss and a powdery pink lipstick adorn your lips and four professional brushes make application a breeze.

'The new 'New Look' by DIOR Fall/Winter 2014/15'

Some of the themes that Raf Simons has been busy exploring these past few years have centered around women and power, negotiating femininity in a masculine world, and gender and the domestic environment. That’s all pretty theoretical-sounding, maybe better suited to a doctorate than to a runway show. Of course, as Simons has ably shown, pondering those concepts has led him to create some absolutely dazzling fashion, and none more so than with his phenomenal fall 2014 Prêt-à-Porter collection for Dior.
