Giambattista Valli, the Paris-based designer, who made his debut on the Couture runways for the first time in July 2011, was granted the official haute couture appellation early (typically designers have to wait five years to be eligible) by French fashion's governing body, the Chambre Syndicale.

The << Commission de Classement Couture Création >> in its December 16th, 2011 meeting has awarded the Haute Couture appellation to Giambattista Valli. The designer has been previously showing his collection as invited member in the haute couture schedule.

For Giambattista Valli's No. 5 Couture collection, he was thinking of “porcelain goddesses” for his appropriately fragile and delicate haute couture show, its runway decorated with classical statuary draped in garlands of white hydrangea.

Giambattista Valli chosen theme for his fifth haute couture show was very astute. The Italian designer played to his sculptural strengths and looked to the world of porcelain figurines from the finest and most famous houses around the world to inspire his fall/winter 2013 show. Meissen, Wedgewood, Sevres or Capodimonte porcelains inspired Giambattista Valli who showcased a collection in which the feminine and fragile side of the jeunes filles en fleurs the designer loves to dress so much shows through.

Shades clash, eye shadows electrify… As every year, the house of Dior presents a Christmas Makeup Collection with its typical 'Winter Gold' (DIOR 'Golden Winter' 2013 Christmas Makeup Collection)  ... This winter, Dior beauty provides women with a radiance, a makeup master stroke that revisits the House classics and infuses them with gold sparkle. And so Diorific lipstick is reinvented in a new Golden Shock version: its emblematic gilded case contains a two-tone stick in which pure color meets its iridescent hologram.
