DIOR Beauty Suite in Cannes

For the past eight years at the Cannes Film Festival, models and actresses have headed the DIOR Suite in the Hôtel Majestic Barrière, to have their make-up expertly handed by the DIOR Pro Make-Up Team, headed up by Violette. This year, the luxury space was refurnished as a live DIOR backstage area, to welcome stars including Eva Herzigova, Olga Kurylenko, Nadja Auermann and Cécile Cassel. Relive the highlights here ...

The suite Christian Dior on the 6th floor of the Hôtel MajesticBarrière has been entirely decorated in the style of no. 30, avenue Montaigne, the historic headquarters of the Parisian couturier. In addition to exceptionally elegant furnishings, the suite provides its guests with a range of remarkable facilities and the services of a personal butler.

This spacious 450qm two-bedroom apartment was firnished with supreme elegance, reflected in the smallest details: silks and velvets, embroidered be linene and photographic works. In the opulent drawing room the cushions on the sofa echo Christian Dior's historic pleated design in the dazzling shade of red he invented himself 1947.

In the dining room, under a cupola which evokes the ceiling at No. 30 Avenue Montaigne, stands an imposing Louis XVI style table, surrounded by the characteristic medallion chairs upholstered in grey and silver. The suite Christian Dior is a perfect reflection of the Parisian fashion house's sophisticated savoir-faire.
