Inspirations from "Last Year At Marienbad" - the Chanel fashion show at Grand Palais, Paris, inspired a surreal setting: a monochrome ornamental garden, complete with fontains mirroring "Marienbad's' most famous scenes.

The quivering cloud of apricot feathers
Chanel's ready-to-wear collection reflect Rei Kawakubo's "new lace". New fabrics were one of the touchstones for the collection. My favourites are the fabulous lace-dresses with ragged edges and the lattice of perforations. The swingy A-line with the kind of unfinish feel - lovely!
The absolut bounty on the runway Inès de la Fressange in a black bended evening gown.
Coco Chanel herself designed Delphine Seyrig's clothes for "Marienbad" echoed of black lace dresses tufted with coq feathers.
Nouveau flapper dresses, longer gowns cut Empire style, with gentle layers of fluid tull and lace to create a wide range of beauties, mostly in black.
