began her spring/summer 2014 collection with a sports-mesh sweatshirt and a loose,
boxer-shorted one-piece, you didn’t have to look far (you could look
straight through the tops, actually, at the black bras and crisscross
strapping) to perceive that dancing is the only exercise these clothes
might be involved in next summer.

Though not quite as risqué as the Gucci reminiscent of Tom Ford’s reign, Frida Giannini spared nothing as far as sauciness was concerned with the brand’s Spring 2014 collection. With nary a frill nor a pop of primary color in sight – as is usually the case in many Gucci Spring collections – Giannini veered toward an athletic allure and darker hues. Despite the sporty appeal, this season’s assortment wasn’t lacking in luxury or sex appeal.
