VALENTINO Couture 2011 - Dreamy Appeal

'it's all about couture' headlined VOGUE Italia the sepcial edition of VOGUE March issue photographed by Paolo Roversi - VALENTINO Couture 2011

The two creative directors, Mariy Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli - "We just wanted to remove all heaviness. The idea is that the dresses are so light, they almost become part of the woman herself ... And we wanted a kind of sensuality."

Luxurious elegance with an edge, from the creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli of the legendary italian fashion label - VALENTINO Couture campaign photographed by Adrian Wilson

Nude silk-organza Nacrée Chemisier dress with point d'esprit diamanté embroidery. Grey satin sandals with crystals

Maria and Pier Paolo chosed the house speciality, pleating, as a central motif - a good choice since it's around this spring, and no one can achieve it (with minutely narrow ribbons of lace, or hundreds of fan-like ripples of chiffon, hand-pressed with an iron)like the Valentino seamstresses in Rome.

Nude organza Méduse cape. Nude pleated tulle gown with lace inserts

Powder coloured chiffon Jardin Délices dress.
