LOUIS VUITTON F/W 2013/14 Ad-Campaign




The thirties influenced 'Fall Mood' - LOUIS VUITTON Fall 2013 Campaign - Every so often, girls just want to go dark. Gisele Bündchen found her way into Louis Vuitton's brooding Fall 2013 ad campaign, lounging on the smokey set with Karen Elson, Carolyn Murphy and Isabeli Fontana. Steven Meisel captured the supermodels in all their louche, devil-may-care glory, each looking more glamorous than the next, the quartet poses on a moody set wearing fur jackets, silk dresses and matching short coifs which evoke a retro elegance as they lounge in a hotel room.

DIOR | 'Mystic Metallics' Fall MakeUp Collection 2013





Today, the House of DIOR continues to find inspirations in the designer's own superstitions: while Raf Simons designs iridescent taffeta gowns with crystal flints, this autum's make-up collection 'Mystic Metallics' adorns the face with magically glimmering colours. This autumn, Tyen, Creator of Colours for DIOR makeup, presents his version of the Dior woman sporting subtle, changing shades, and a touch of magic.







A LUCKY STAR

"Chance always steps in to help people who truly desire something", wrote Christian Dior in his memoirs. Chance indeed stepped in for him when one day in April 1946 he tripped over a metal 5-pointed star, while walking in the street. At the time, he was considering giving up his career as a fashion designer and saw the star as a sign of destiny: he agreed to meet Mr. Boussac, the king of cotton, and went on to open his house of couture.

SHADOWS AND LIGHT

A small dot of colour, a concentration of glints, shine and contrasts. Diorshow Fusion Mono is revolutionising make-up: its gel-foam texture brightens the eyes with a faceted shade, and long-lasting radiance. "The harmonies that I have created for this look reflect the mysterious colours of the galaxy. A journey from the Earth to the moon", explains Tyen. On this occasion, the 5-colour palette is given a new look with mauve and silver (864 Constellation), blue-green and brown (384 Bonne Etoile), and reveals eyeshadows sculpted with Christian Dior's lucky star. From greyish pink to plum, lacquers have eternal names (Destin, Galaxie) and for the very first time, reveal a magnetic sheen which glimmers and changes in the presence of a magnet. Lips are illuminated with bewitching colours of Dior Addict Extreme and Dior Addict Gloss, adorning smiles with delicious and mysterious radiance, from precious pink to dramatic purple.

VALENTINO F/W 2013/14 Ad-Campaign



 
'Girl with a Pearl Earring' - the VALENTINO collection featuring pearls, midnight blue, blood red, lace and ermine, for Fall/Winter 2013/14 Ready-to-Wear Valentino's creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli aimed to bring the paintings of  the 'Dutch Golden Age' of Flemish artists like Rembrandt and Johannes Vermeer to life. Inspired by the unsettling beauty of 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' which is one of Vermeer's masterworks, the graceful and restrained collection is unveiled in a new clip which takes us behind the scenes on the campaign, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Featuring mostly newcomers including Maud Welzen, Kati Nescher, Magdalena Jasek, Irina Kravchenko, Sam Rollinson, Erika Labanauskaite, Tamara Weijenberg, Laura Kampman, Nouk Torsing and Sasha Luss. The girls pose next to still-life images that reflect the Flemish style including flowers, fruit and feathers surrounding the season’s accessories.
